AC 4-2 West End

Another win for a changed AC Wigston team of late. Happy faces within the camp at AC after 3 wins out of 3.

Danny King with a stunning volley to open up the scoring, only for West End to return the favour after a mistake at the back from AC.

A return for Adam Spencer after nearly 3 months away from the team, returned to the bench to come on after 20 minutes after our captain was accidently elbowed in the cheek, resulting in a trip to hospital for him and resulting in a compressed cheek bone.

Adam Spencer then scored two goals, after going on upfront, his usual position being center back.

After going 3-1 up, a complete cock up at the back resulted in Nathan Cramp scoring an own goal after stand in goalkeeper Fozzi smashed the ball against him.

Scoring was finished with an Aaron Soper Goal.

Boring game to be honest, but were still winning, results are going our way.

very tough game today with both teams very evenly matched. neither team really controlled the game from start to finish with both teams struggling to create a clear cut chance. countesthorpe took the lead with a sloppy goal around the 20 minute mark but failed to build on that lead and before long the game dropped back into a stalemate. countesthorpe held there lead and looked like they were going to collect all 3 points until nick shepard hit as volley from an acute angle which the keeper failed to deal with and matt garner reacted quickest to snatch a draw from the jaws of defeat with what was about the last kick of the game.

looking forward to the county cup final now when we meet again and on todays evidence its going to be a very close run thing again!

thanks to the countesthorpe lads for a great hard tackling full of commitment game.
all the best for the season (exept april 7th, i hope you get hammered then )

we went 1-0 down to a sloppy goal the took controle with 4 of our own and we shuda killed the game but to be fair they should have got a draw today they missed loads of chances towardsthe end

Cracking first half, both sides excellent, we went 1-0 up, Giff looking very dangerous, only for the ref to award a penalty when I felt the offence took place just outside the box, and the player fell in the area. We got caught on the break for the Fosse second, but we pulled level just before half time, deservedly so.

Second half was even, Fosse took the lead from a good move and as Giff said on the results thread, Geary went off and we werent the same. Got caught on the break several times and Fosse were just too strong for us.

Spirited performance by us but beaten by the better side. Best footballing side we have played against this season are AC. Dissapointed by the lack of a keeper for us and to be honest i dont really fancy having to do that job again !!

Must of been two teams with lack of goalkeeper, with our center back playing in goal!!

Can't understand why Exeter Res are in the position they are in, could have gone either way, good game, hard fought but fair (apart from a couple of challenges, lol) and look forward to seeing you all down at our place.

Scrappy 7 Polska 5

Scrappy had a few players out and were quiet as a mouse for first 10 mins, but when Jake Limbert is in your side, anything can happen, and when they got warmed up the fun started. They were 3-0 up inside 36 minutes, and mentally they were then already in the clubhouse having a beer when we got a deserved penalty to make it 3-1. A few minutes later it was 3-2 at half time and no one could quite believe it. Scrappy should have killed it off 2nd half, but we stood up to them, and it got to 4-3 then 5-4 as we refused to throw in the towel. They then killed us with 2 goals in 83rd and 84th minute before we had another pen in the final minute to make it 7-5. Good time to be playing the big 3 I reckon (except Advance - is there ever a good time?) as it is cup final season and many players are playing 4 games a week. Good spirited show from our lads but Limbert is best player in the Prem at the moment in my opinion

Congratulations to Throops FC on getting to there first final in the EW Fosters Cup - deservedly beat my BOYZ today as we were not quite at our best.

Still very proud of my lads as they showed huge character to get back in the game after being 3 nil down early on but we never had enough today in all honesty.

Hopefully Deano will be back for the final and despite this defeat I still enjoy the battle with Throops who always play the game in the right spirit.

To be honest my initial thought was that the foul was just outside the box, difficult for the ref though as I ended up near the peno spot. On the other hand your defender was lucky not to get a red card cuz it was a blatent foul when through on goal!

Tight first half but we knew we had plenty more to give, cut out the defensive errors in the 2nd and pretty much controlled from the outset. Obviously our task got abit easier when your lad got injured, could have scored any number of goals after that.

Just to confirm that our Captain is having to have emergency surgery to decompress his cheek and jaw. And will be out for the rest of the season.

Not the best of seasons for injuries for us, lost are keeper to a compound fracture and has retired, both center backs are injured, with Fozz having to play in goal, and now our captain.

Will do Ad, nothing in the challenge either, was just a trailling elbow which caught him. Even I had to kit up today....

We played quality first half played some quality football and could've gone in 6-0 up but it ended up 3-0.

2nd half we just saw the game out tbh. It was a gd game for us to have after the exploits against Magna, few tired legs out there today...and that wern't just the 33yr olds behind the ball!!!

First half - we were pretty good in patches, three up at half time. Second half we were poor, no disrespect to QPR, but a better team would have punished us.

Big game next week against Desford. They've won about 6-7 in a row, any idea what they're like. I know they've got big Sean playing for them now, anyone else to look out for?

Someones gotta stop there unbeaten run and we need to get the 5W's on the form guide!!!

well from where i was standing is was one way traffic for 90% of the game and the royals could have been 3 or 4 up in the first half. like i have said befor they have no threat when mitch warner dont play and it showed yesterday with western only having 1 or 2 half chances throughout the game. and if it wasnt for the ref not being able to realise when 90 minutes were up you would have lost!

if thats the best western have got to offer then im very confident of a royals double this season.

and rm05 nice try trying to find out who i am but my boys dont even know my identity so they couldnt give me up if they wanted to. i may let you know who i am when im waiving a winners medal under your nose at holmes park as thats as close to one as you will get!

did i not say in my earlier posts that the royals were a lot better for large periods of the game??

we werent a threat sunday and played no where near we can, im happy to go into the final being underdogs to your far superior team.
