Hi everyone firstly i would like to introduce myself i am hayden jones monsel wmc res team manager. i am very happy to be involved in a fantastic league as part of a fantastic club, i read a post on here regarding a friendly match that my team apparantly had, this did not happen maybe there was a mix up i know there was a friendly on sunday morning lounge bar saturdays vs piper utd we monsel wmc res are not starting our friendlies until july/august time if anybody is interested in a friendly(can only play away)pm me cheers hayden [/b]

All in good fun, you'll soon get to know the ones on here that are terrible footballers, i think a couple have already spoke to you, you wait ill you see them play for real, it'll be the best laugh you've ever had.

Good first result for us, played well and defended ok. Tried to play the right football but didnt over do it. Birstall had there fair of chances and hit the woodwork 3 times so could have been a different story. All in all a good game and a good result for us

Just at the end of last season mate. We folded after the last game although i wish i'd have took us over cause suddenly we got 14 or 15 who wanna carry on, Durrance being 1 of them. Left it too late now so ill just go and sign somewhere.

Whent one nil down within 30 seconds, due to trying to be to clever at the back, after that we got back into the game a played some good football and should have drawn level, but their keeper made to good saves. Whent in half-time 3-1 down and our heads were down and the second half was just a disaster, this was abig wake up call for some players and after today's performance, some of them won't be in the teams plans for next season. Phoenix have a lot of quality players, all the best for the new season,Ian sporting birstall.

St Marks 5,1 Monsell WMC

How was the game?

They've made a few cracking signings and we had 6 or 7 out in the sun somewhere.
The first half was very one sided with St Marks knocking it around like we weren't there and they went 4-0 up in the first 30 minutes. We then decided to wake up a little and St Marks took their foot off the gas. We went in at half time 4-1.
The second half was a little closer, after moving the team around we found some good rhythm. Both teams played some good stuff but without scoring until the last 5 minutes when St Marks got their 5th.

St Marks are a very strong team. No disrespect to the other teams competing in their division, but I expect them to do very well and most likely win it.
Final words...
St Marks... A premier side in a couple of years if the new signings stay!
Monsell WMC.... Hard to say as it wasn't the usual Monsell, but some good signs in a real tough test.

Was an enjoyable game apart from the heat which was a killer for both teams. Close game first half, seaton created a few chances but some quality defending from fields preventing them from scoring. Mark Allen opened the scoring early on for fields as he rounded the keeper after a through ball to slot home. After that fields had a glorious chance to make it two but the seaton keeper redeemed himself and prevented out striker one-on-one. Before half time a fields counter attack saw debut man (and man of the match for us) Callum Marvin stride forward from the back to volley home after a peach of a cross from the right wing. Going in at half time 2-0 was a fantastic result for us. Second half seaton stepped it up an played some beautiful passing football tiring our lads out. There finishing in the second half was pin point and left our keeper with no chance of Saving them. A couple of errors and lucky deflections led to a couple of seaton goals but can't deny there class and footballing ability. Maybe 6 was a bit harsh on us but we got punished when we dropped our heads and stopped performing. All in all a good game, another good fitness and match test and well done to seaton

Comfortable win for an under strength dsa team, didn't help either team having a 1pm saturday afternoon kick off in 30 deg heat, but both teams played it in a great manner with no one dying of heat exhaustion lol

Wigston Plough Rovers 3 - 2 Sporting Revolushon, Wigston's first pre season friendly and first chance to look at a cracking bunch of lads, and we faired well.

Oakfield unbeaten all last season but only a friendly i suppose.
