| This is how it looks from down under.
Premier Cup - 2 Alliance clubs in the semis (and 2 from the Charnwood) Intermediate Cup - no Alliance clubs, (1 from Hinckley, 2 from Charnwood and 1 from out of County League) Shield - 2 Alliance clubs (2 from Hinckley) Trophy - 3 Alliance clubs (with 1 to play not involving an Alliance club) Vase - 1 Alliance club (1 LSL club, 1 Hinckley club and 1 to be played, involving an Alliance club and 1 from Charnwood)
In other words, 8 or 9 in the semis - well done to all concerned.

| That question can only be answered AFTER the finals wouldn't one agree?
Many lower league teams made Wembley in the FA Cup over the years but not many left with the Cup...
...just saying not disagreeing they have done well thus far.
So last season, the AL won 2 out of the 5 with the largest number of entries in all comps so was that a success? The stato's amongst us may say no, but certainly was to S&G and Reem Team as they proved to be the best team in the county at their level in this format.
Reminds me of an old riddle...
what gets taken to wembley and is NEVER used.

OK, who is the only NON-LEAGUE team to win the FA Cup? spurs were in the southern league when they won it which player scored in 3 different games at wembley against the same keeper for 3 different teams within a few months of each other

| Thought the County Cup semi finals were always on a neutral ground with lino's..
Was 2 seasons ago too - we (Birstall Rangers) played Saffron Lounge Bar out at Melton Mowbray

| Ours was neutral last season at St Andrews.
I seem to recall a few years ago some, but not all weren't played at neutral ground because of a shortage of pitches.

| County Cups Semi's were neutral with all officials supplied last season.
Venues are usually middle point of both teams.

ITS DEPENDING ON WEATHER, when i was playing for the rockets in 2001 we got drawn at home in county cup semi and played away in league cup semi, the senior league grounds took a battering that season so they must of all refused to have semi finals played on them, so we played at home in 1 and away in another

Are semis played on a neutral ground? Not this season - due to the poor weather conditions this season it is considered that neutral clubs woud be reluctant to host due to the risk of pitch damage, missing their own home fixture and potentially adding to the existing backlog of fixtures. Semi Finals are to be played on the ground of the first named club. The costs of match officials is to be split 50/50, the pitch fee to be met by the home club and the away team will obviously incur their travelling costs. It is a County FA decision.

| Shame to see Webbys and Fairfield draw each other, think both would of been capeable of reaching the final if kept apart, good luck to them though and hope the winner goes all the way! | |

| Im a bit peeved that not only do we have to pay the pitch fee, we have to pay half towards ref and linos! For a new club starting out its not like we have loads of funds...
Our pitch is in such bad nick we may have to hire a pitch at aylestone park. So if we can hire a pitch there why cant semi finals be played there Anyway!
If we get to holmes park do we have to pay there too??

If we get to holmes park do we have to pay there too?? No - Had the match been played at a neutral venue you would still have been liable for 50% of the pitch fees and would have incurred travel costs to reach that venue - wherever that might have been within the County

| Meode. You chose to play there instead of where you played last year this was your choice of home ground because it was cheaper. We are the side to suffer. Sharing one changing room one shower etc etc and a poor pitch. The rules yes this year is different due to pitch conditions at senior pitches but you have been chose to host the game and thats it no pitch change should be allowed to suit yourselfs. If we were drew at home we wouldnt be moaning about a few quid as half a senior league pitch would have been roughly the same. Collect your subs in and you should be o.k. See you next week. | |

| So you would rather play at our ground than aylestone park?
We are a new team. We didnt have a pitch last year, so thats wrong
But as it is yu are saving as normally you would have half the pitch fees too.
You concentrate on your own team rather than talk about 'we will be alright if we get the subs in'.
I was merely making a point re more expence for the home team this year.
Its always woe is me with you isnt it, nothings ever webbys fault. Boring hell.
This is in no way a dig at webbys as we sre good friends with a lot of the lads and are looking forward to a good game against them.

| And we chose our home ground because of its location next to the fairfield pub that sponsor us. Nothing to do with expence. When you know something proper about our club and finances come back to me but in the mean time ssshhhh | |

If we get to holmes park do we have to pay there too?? Surely you would rather be in the semi final and have the expense than to be out the cup? Was gutted I didnt get to play against you in an earlier round when you knocked us out but am sure we want to go out to the winners and good luck in the semi final. Having been beaten by you both in different cup comps this year, I have been told you are a lot stronger than webbys but no disrespect to them and good luck both
