Sad News

Some of you may have heard about the accident on Narborough Road yesterday that claimed the lives of 2 young children, aged 1 and 2.

The two year old girl was the daughter of Leicester Polska's striker Lukasz Tabaka.

The club would like to offer its most sincere and heartfelt condolences to Luca and his family, and is offering any support they may need, during a time where most of us cannot even begin to think what they are going through. We are a close knit club, as is the Polish community, and this terrible news has shocked and upset us all.

The 7 a side inter-Polska tournament scheduled for this Saturday has been cancelled.

Our thoughts are with the family, and we wanted to share this news with the local football community as many of you may know Luca or indeed have played alongside him or against him.

Saw this story on the local news and was very saddened and shocked, now reading that it is very close to home, this has distressed me even more.

I am sure everyone connected with the Alliance League will want to express our sorrow and sympathy that a member of the Alliance family has suffered such a tragedy.

Sad sad news not been on in a few days now just read this.
