on a lighter note = at least the bullies got beat today, justice done, bullying has no place in football, so glad you got beat x Looking at your other post in another section, that appears to be aimed at us.... I think if we did a straw poll of teams that use intimidating behaviour between us and Saff Lounge, you would have one big bale of hay.... Shame you have made these comments Tommy as there is no basis to them, and if you draw on your own first hand experience of four games against us, you will know that we dont 'bully' other teams.... | Much credit must go to the ref and first old boys for getting our game on yesterday. Had to wait till nearly 11 till kick off but we were pleased to get the game played. Good win for NPE played well at times but first battled well and second half got their goal and it was even. Good luck for rest of season first, great bunch and credit to your manager for agreeing to play.

| Magna 3 - 2 FC Tumar
Got the game on at 11am...despite Tumar not looking overly enthuastic. Poor performance from us in terms of knocking the ball about but Tumar struggled with the pace of Harvey and Hogan. We competed very well, Tumar have a couple of good players but their defence was their weak link. Interesting to see who we get in the Quarters
Goal scorers..Hogan Smith, Ross Griffin and Kieran Rowley

| Kirby 2 - 4 SPARTA MOSHDOCK
Moshdock goals - Will Robinson, Alistair Foster, Aaron Preston x 2
After much deliberation, the game finally got underway at Victoria Park at 11am. In the end it turned out to be a good decision by referee Akil Howson with the pitch thawing within the first 15-20mins.
We played some good stuff first half, but the ball just wouldn't go in for us. And then to make matters worse, we were caught twice on the break and went in 2-0 down at half time.
We rallied and put the pressure on second half, getting an early goal after about 10mins helped and gave us confidence. We then took over and made it 3-2. They put a lot of pressure on, but we defended well and nicked a 4th with about 5mins to go.
Very well reffed by Akil and another important win for us in the Prem.
Good luck to Kirby for the rest of the season.

i'm expecting fine and points deduction but we'll see No fines should be dished out at all "My opinion", it should be a joint decision between the ref and managers and players and club secs, not just the referee, after all he's not the one going in for sliding tackles and so on, common sense all round should get the right result.

| Wounded we got dumped out the cup, well played DME, wanted it more than us, we found it hard missing some big players but still felt that we had enough on the pitch to be able to get through to the next round.
Only consolation being that half the team would have missed the final should we have made it, all going grand national, still would have been nice to get to the final though.
Good luck to DME for rest of the competition. Also would like to point out how good Martin Dexter was, class ref that man.

Interesting point of view. Although I dare say the players wouldn't be going in for sliding tackles either

Advance desperately wanted it on, they were quite enphatic about it actually so that was never going to happen. I'm torn between a rock and a hard place here, I mean I can understand why the players chose not to play on safety grounds but at the same time, I think we should have just played the game, got beat and moved on.

| Very poor again from us yesterday! We had the bare 11 and went 1-0 down then got a player injured and scored 2 in quick succession to go into the break 2-1 up found ourselfs 4-1 up with an hour gone and then 4-3 with 15 still play! AC battled well for the full 90 mins but i thought we just about deserved the win! I still dont know how the pitch was called playable but thats been and gone and was well reffed and played in the right spirit | |

| I thought the game was very playable, really glad with Keith who gave the pitch until 11am to get the game going. The pitch was hard but never unplayable...I was surprised to see Magna's game didn't go ahead. In terms of the game I watched...I thought Mivan would have won out if they had 11 men and we played like that...we didn't seem up for the game and didn't take the game serious enough. All credit to Mivan who carried on going all the way through to the final whistle, but as wayne stated in the hat for the next rnd....lets hope we play better in that game - espicially if we draw someone like Humbo.... | |
