| Best - Wheels on uplands park! why cant all council pitches be like this? thinking about moving grounds next season up to oadby!! Worst - Superflys on western park. played against Gt on it a few years ago and wasnt the best then but its got far worse. Looking at it on a sunday morning after a night on the tiles i felt a bit tiddly!

| Worst - Gate Hangs Well, Wreake Valley College. Divots all over the place thanks to whatever animals had infested the field. It was first game of the season as well so that didn't help, with the hard ground.
Best - probably ours at Uplands. Other than that, the one at Burleigh College in Loughborough for our county cup game was alright.

| Best- Uplands is very good, but other than that Gelnfield Towns at Gynsils
Worst- not played many away so will chose Epworth as we had to clear all of the kids lunch time litter off the pitch at Winstanley College

i personally thought the wheels pitch was tiny, from memory it seemed really narrow. think all pitches this season so far have been OK, no great ones but no horrible ones either. There is a nasty pitch on Western Park, unsure if if its Superflys or not, right up the back? its got an up and down hill kinda thing goin on, we played AFC Sporting on it last season

| Agree that Uplands is class for a Sunday league pitch, it is a bit smaller than some pitches, but not by much. Very happy with it as our home pitch.
Worst one i have played on is at Western Park last season against Inter Mivan.....

Im with you on that one. We have a tree over ours, well worth the rise in pitch fees

| delighted that we got ours paid for this week thanks to a very kind sponsor! first time in about 15 years we've managed to secure that kind of support and testament to a particular player who masterminded it. Could also secure our financial future for at least the next 2 years. happy days | |

| Worst - GT at Western Park, they are getting there pants pulled down with the price
Best surprisingly was Horsewell Lane when we played Niffy.
Message to funtime frankie, I played on your pitch last month on a Saturday and it was in great condition, but your pitch is usually very poor, even in October. Whats changed?? I was impressed

| WORST- Has defo got to be QPR at stonehill school, its a small pitch, and on a slight slope with long grass and as bobbly as hell.
BEST- Yet to really play on a top pitch but so far would say LDA Spartans at upland park abit small tho.

I was impressed To be honest Kev it does get pretty well looked after but think we've been lucky weather wise, obviously the next few months will show whether it can withstand the elements but considering it's being played on twice over the weekends it's not doing to bad,it's always been a good pitch but it's always a downpour or one game away from cutting up and then struggles to recover hopefully will be in good nick when you visit

Have to agree - our pitch has divots all over the place this season that are potential ankle breakers (especially in my case). Further to that though, it's just so bobbly. Certainly doesn't help me. The other lads who actually have some ability cope ok mind you. Hopefully when it gets a bit more sodden it'll flatten out and improve....

This pitch is now managed by the club. The goal areas have been dug up, filled in and reseeded. The pitch is marked and grass cut by the club as and when necessary , but it is accepted that drainage is not up to scratch and prolonged rain can cause problems. The showers, etc are excellent. Comments about poor City Council pitches have been passed on. Thanks for your feedback which is very helpful. However, the first responsibility is with the hiring club to take pitch and facility problems up with the hirer - usually a City or District Council.

We took our problems with our pitch to the council. There was about 5 different problems including a tree over hanging our pitch. The council did chop a tree down but was the wrong one so dont hold ur breath!! The other problems are yet to be sorted either. Oh well :-/ our pitch isnt the worst on the park so could be worse
