Dunton and Broughton 2 - 3 Sunbury United

Might have been an even better game had we not got a man sent off after 2 minutes! Sunbury easily the best team we've played all season but we gave them a game with 10. Special mention to Keeper Lewis Hill for Dunton, saved 3 penalties, different class. Hopefully we will have top goalscorer Jarrad Pickering back next week!!! Amazing player!!!

LDA 3 - 2 Niffy

Brilliant result for us in the circumstances. Bare 11 due to late drop outs and half the team still drunk from the night before. We had to weather the storm for the first 20 but after that we really got into it.

A goalkeeping error gave us the first and then we doubled it almost immediately after. A Dave Ash OG rounded off our goals before a late fightback got us a bit worried. All in all a good performance from the back foot.

Nri 4 - 4 Ac Wigston

Great result for us today, thought we was dead and buried when it was 4-2 but we dug in and grabbed a point!! Myself grabbing the last minute equaliser!!

Good look to Nri, good team and good set of lads!

Great result for us today, although disappointed to have let them come back from 2 down. But then again, cannot be disappointed with a draw against Advance.

We had chance to be a few more ahead at half time and then it was complete back to the walls stuff for us in the second half. We defended superbly against a great attacking side.

Must mention yet another top reffing performance from Tommy Hollidge.

Cheers to the Advance lads for a cracking game of football.

I went to watch the Throops v Star game today and it was easily the best game I have seen this season if not the past few years. It had goals, keeping gaffs, tackles flying in, and the woodwork must have been hit 2 or 3 times.

Would just like to reiterate Dunton keeper Lewis Hill's performance today, it was absolutely brilliant. 3 penalty saves to go with some superb stops, was the best goalkeeping performance I have seen so far this season, and the Sunbury guys agreed.

Good side Sunbury, would have been interesting if we hadn't had 10 men for 88 minutes, credit to the guys who stook at it. Ref didn't really have much option as it was a last man challenge, but some leniency needs to be taken in these situations surely. If the sending off is handed in its technically a 4 match ban for an innocuous challenge.

Friar lane 0-4 wheel

Great performance by us today we were solid in defence and didn't give them a sniff we totally out played them it could have quite easily been more. But credit to friar lane they stuck at it and never gave up. Our first goal came from some great play for Andy driver to slot home our second came after some great play by Darius who weave his way through about 5-6 players to smash in of the cross bar. The third came from Danny bates who rose highest to nod in after a great cross from the right it stayed like that till half time. Into the second half and we Started strong and just kept bombarding the friar lane goal and it was only a mater of time untill we scored again and that came with a clearence from a corner by friar lane and it fell to Andy driver who played it to his brother Chris who took a few touches and smashed it home to make it 4. All credit to friar lane they are a great set of lads and with abit more confidence in the team they will do well cheers lads look forward to the game at our place.

AFC ROYAL OAK 1 - 3 NPE
we (npe) seemed to have been playing awfull since our poor show at hotshots 5 week ago where we drew 2 all. last 2 weeks been knocked out both cups and knew we were gonna be have it hard today against royal oak. to be fair they had an early chance which some how we kept out but they followed it up well and took the lead. they made it very hard for us to play and got stuck in well, managed to slot a pen away to level things. second half they were lucky to not go down to 10 men but the ref kept things in the right manner. capitalized on the bright sun and took the lead with a pretty lucky free kick in the top bag. obviously royal oaks gaffa will be kicking his self cos they looked as if they deserved something out of it but with 10 mins left we managed to seal the win. our lads kept well switched on and ground out a hard thought win. we had 2 cleared off the line in the first half and things wasn't going too great. best result for us so far. think royal oak will do alot better than people think, good bunch really just beat f u c k out of me today.

Blaby Vikings FC 3 - 1 Global FC

Superb win for the Vikings today against previously unbeaten Global FC. Everyone played fantastic. Been a while since we picked up a win but did it today. We rode our luck at times to be fair and Global had chances but couldn't put them away.

We took the lead through Stevie Belcher in the first half, then went 2 - 0 up just after the break through Andy Lapworth. Global pulled one back after a clearance by myself hit one of our own on the backside and it eventually fell to their big man up top who slotted it home.

It could have been 3 - 1 when we were given a penalty, but their keeper made a good save to deny Stevie B his second goal.

Turns out it didn't matter as good work down the right from Jamie Lofthouse provided Andy L with a simple tap in for his second.

Thanks to Global for the game, played in good spirit against a good group of lads.

Saff lounge 5-4 MDH knights
Saff had good ten mins and went two up then turned into a free for all they pulled it back to 2-1 then our keeper flapped at a routine catch for an MDH equaliser(although he made up for it in the second half with two class saves) we went into half time 3-2 up then 4-2 then MDH pulled back 4-4 as we were all over the place but we managed to sneak a winner with 5 mins left Matty rudkin with a sublime lob !!! Overall maybe a draw would of been fair , MDH are a great set of lads and wish them luck for the rest of the season

cheers to ac Wigston for the game today, good attitude from them to keep on going while 2 behind. Referee was very good today, keith smith? As for us, complete shambles, only about 5 of us there setting the goals up, the line being ran by two players carrying injuries, genuinely becoming disheartened with running a club at the minute. Going to have a think about things this week. Finished 4-4.
Happy birthday to fozzi as well, top lad, don't know him that well but enjoyed some good banter with him.. And well done to our reserves who seem to have the attitude that we are missing.

word about Trinderbox. Considering their problems this season and players I understand going away on holiday without even telling anyone, they were a credit to themselves and the league. not one bad challenge throughout the game, and Steve Kirk the best (opposition) linesman we've ever had. they never stopped working and all shook hands and wished us well at the end. top club run the right way and hope you get the rub of the green for the rest of the season

All our lads feeling very frustrated as thought we did enough to get the win having several chances but couldnt put ball in the net! Will be shooting practice this week at training! Shame you lads couldnt come down the oak for a beer with us after (maybe 1 team will this season). Good luck till the return fixture lads and well done again!

Magna 73 Rangers 2-2 Kirby Muxloe Rangers

We were poor today. Even though we didnt play well we should have won. We missed 2 sitters and took the lead inside the first 30 minutes but Kirby were looking dangerous on the break, then on 40 minutes they broke through and Jenko took there player out right on the edge of the area, ref gave a peno and sent Jenko off. Jenko maintains it was outside the area and he shouldn't have been sent off as we had a defender covering and no doubt he will come on here and tell you that himself!!

Anyway Lando went in goal and Mark Brown struck it to his left.

With 10 men in the 2nd half we did OK and we were never under pressure at all, we missed a great chance when Cartwright volleyed over from 3 yards and then Bainesy struck after good work from Phil Howard and we honestly thought we would see it out, even down to 10 men but a cross from the right found Mark Brown unmarked at the far post and he headed in the equaliser.

Have to say that if you had turned up with 10 players today you would of prob beat us, gave you two goals of which one was a dubious own goal which was heading goal bown when a push in the back by who knows and it just skims my head and went in.

Not too happy with the ref who seemed give any 50/50 tackles to you .

We seem to struggle at the minute with the changes each week in positions but have to say far play to Jamie who gives everyone a game if they missed out the week before, difficult when we have 16 players turning up each week.

Well done to LDA and also to Sid who i think must of got a goalkeeping DVD for his birthday as he had a good game.

Very gracious mate. If your number 10 had kept his mouth shut instead of mouthing off and having your manager having to take him off,I think it would have been a different result.

Magna Town 5 - 3 Epworth Forest

Epworth probably played the best football we have come up against, moved it very smartly, but we hit them very clinically on the break and found oursleves 4-0 up at the break.

They had a man sent off for dissent (maybe harsh but sort of summed up the game) they pressed us very hard, and looked like only one team were gona win it, we thankfully nicked a 5th and sealed the victory

Some good banter with the Epworth lads looking forward to return leg...getting very tight at the top!

Not a bad summary this really, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, we're playing pretty well most weeks and just not scoring / defending well enough, sounds crazy I know!!!
Anyway too pissed at kick off today and the lads only have themselves to blame for that, still we eventually played ourselves back in but let it go again.
We need to believe we're as good as we know we can be.

North Kilworth beat Birstall 5-2 today. Should have been 10-0 at half time. Lost second half 2-0, probably should have been 4-0! Number 4 at back for Birstall was a good player. However Carl or number 2 I think looked way out of his depth

Frolesworth United 2-0 FC Hoskins (Game abandoned after 84 minutes)

Firstly, i'd like to point out that we usually keep ourselves to ourselves and don't post on this forum, but following today's absolutely farcical events we shall have our say.

We led 2-0 through two Joe Cook goals, before FC Hoskins were reduced to 10-men with an absolutely disgusting two-footed lunge. How our striker, Callum Wills, hasn't suffered a broken leg is a blessing.

Whilst he was lying on the ground, a disgraceful fracas broke out for no apparent reason before Hoskins were reduced to nine-men after their goalkeeper hurled the ball into our striker's face for a second booking.

Several of their players continued to protest with the referee, before simply walking off leaving the referee no choice but to abandon the fixture.

The door to our changing room was then kicked down, which was absolutely disgraceful and quite frankly criminal.

We came back from 3-0 down away at FC Hoskins on the opening day and in spite of a few incidents we generally had a good opinion of them, but following today's disgraceful events we are none too complimentary of them whatsoever.

By far the most embarrassing series of events we've had to endure in the Alliance League.

####ing ####ers kick em out, no room for this sort of behaviour, bye bye now.
