Birstall are playing Fosse City this Friday 30th April?

They requested a free date on Sunday 2nd May and also requested to play midweek games on Fridays.

If you track back Birstall have played EVERY Friday?!?

Fosse City v Anstey Hounds is now scheduled for Friday 7th May 2010.

Phew, about time too.

what about the teams that have struggled to field a team midweek playing sun/wed/fri/sun if we all asked for games only on fri midweek the season would never end but its nice to know you get a choice of what days you want to play

omg i asked the league for just friday games as we would struggle wednesdays and got told no you have to play wednesdays if we dont it would be classed as a resignation from the league wtf

shouldn't be able to request days to play or not to play. Soon as one team does all others want too and that'l never happen

Every club SECRETARY gets the option to request a PREFERENCE for which night they would prefer midweek games. This has to be made BEFORE the midweek games have been published and started! Some secretaries come to me and state they will have problems with playing Wednesdays or even Fridays.

Gaz you know the score!!! Your secretary did NOT request a preference for a day!! You then rang me personally to say that you would struggle with Wednesdays, but after the first lot of midweek games had been played. My hands were tied and I told you this. You might notice that the rearranged games I have had to do for you have both been on Fridays now I know your preference?!?! So that is wtf!!!!

Just because a club states a preference to play on a Wednesday or Friday this does not guarantee it but if it's possible I try and help!! Is that o.k? (sometimes you might stress a preference for a Weds but you have so many midweek fixtures you have to play Weds and some on Fridays!!)

We know we are a Sunday morning football league and the aim is to play football on Sunday mornings!! Unfortunately this season we've had a really bad run of winter weather! I can't help that??? We have a date the season has to be finnished by and so midweek games are inevitable. To try and help that little bit with the midweek we ask if teams have a preference!!!

I'm really pleased this season and all teams deserve a bloody big medal for playing so many midweek games and getting on with it. (And that does include you Gaz who when I'd told you the way it was got on with it!!)

I requested Wednesdays, and I got given one or two Friday games and I got over it Princess Gaz!!!

Thats not an excuse to say why you've not won the league

Maybe getting his excuses in early when Great Wigston get turned over by Sparta Parva tonight (yes i have just seen a pig fly past the window...)

pmsl tomassi pig did fly, chances galore tonight we let u off big time me thinks, and james u do a lovely job and dee we lost the league in the end due to poor results against tumar and beaumont

lol the only reason it kept under 10 is because we cudnt convert the chances like we normally do, not down to ur defence lol
