yeah thanks to monsell wmc for stepping in to play us .. tbh 1st half was very scrappy we defended well n battled our way through it 2nd half slightly different story mixture of monsell raising bar our subs n fitness didnt help n they blew us away but we can take positives from the match as i try too with every match i think in my opinion if monsell place top 6 in division 1 would have been a succesful season cheers adam n good luck for season

Aths 11 Palmerstone Athletic.

Drab game, 3-0 up at half time. They had 12 players then dropped to only 11 in the second half. We kept making changes, just to freshen it up. Next Sunday I believe we could be playing Caterpillar Fc Sunday team (the old Ratby Sports) (to be confirmed though)

The majority from lks plus a few decent players. Good side

11-0?? Wow we played them in January/February and were a good side who beat us comfortably in the end! Impressive result. Hope the league are taking note

I honestly wouldn't read that much into it, especially when we got hammered by a Charnwood Div 2 team last week.

Leicestershire constabulary 5-6 Sporting birstall,
Sporting birstall 4 up after 30mins, with near enough our strongest team starting, gave some of the fringe players a run out second half and we struggled to get going again and let some silly mistakes creep in, but that's what friendliest are for, to see what is your best team and a wins a win.

We've got leicester constabulary in a few weeks. What they like?

You want to be careful what you say pal. They will be putting you in the prem soon haha!

Everyone knows you shouldn't be in there, but when you win 2 divisions and a cup in two years you have to expect that to happen. Besides that friendlies don't mean a lot so when you start losing some league games they will realise you shouldn't be in the division but it will be too late to change. A usual story.

I'm all for giving it a go, why not.... I just hope that if we do struggle then the older lads in the team stick with us. The other thing I'm worried about is following Thurmaston in having a bad season losing every game and STILL be in the prem the next season.
The strange thing is that a couple of the league committee that have seen us play have both said that we are in no way ready for the prem, but yet we're in it!

Thurmaston situation far stranger in my opinion, 0 points and still in prem? Mud.

yet someone was on here last week saying with the players they have or are about to sign on they would be top 3?

What someone says doesn't mean it will happen, they finished on 0 points. Why have they not been relegated?

that has been explained on here in other posts. but if what that guy said is true, then will the league get credit for doing the right thing?
