Result and Banter - Wednesday 26 March

We have a single match this evening - a Premiership fixture between Star & Garter and Sparta Moshdock.
 
This is being played at Friar Lane & Epworth FC with a 7.30pm kick off.

A good game of football by both sides and probably a fair result overall.

We took the lead through Jake after a mix up between their defender and keeper gave him a tap in. They then scored a really good equaliser from some great football. Before half time they went ahead when they scored from a rebound from a free kick. Yet again, after Sunday, we felt a little hard done by as it was never a free kick.

We came out fighting second half and soon got an equaliser from Aaron. Not long after he ceased on another mistake by the defender and finished brilliantly to put us ahead 3-2.

S&G then came back strongly, but we defended heroically with some great saves by stand-in keeper Steve Morley and several goaline clearances. Unfortunately it wasn't quite enough and they got a scrappy equaliser in about the 88th minute.

Gutted not to win it but a draw was probably about right. A much better performance from us than recently, showing a lot more fight and passion.

Cheers to the S&G lads and good luck in their semi-final and final over the next week or so.

Jake wain outstanding at the back second half. Jim's miss is crucial, heroic on line defending.good game once it settled down both playing some decent football in patches. Fair result definitely
