Postponed - D5 - Sporting Birstall v Royalist

There are also selective Leicester City Council postponements - more on that when more information is available

Any chance if someone will be updating postponements anytime soon please ?

Now I'm going to stick my neck out here and predict no games but I need an answer asap if possible as I have a player in Durham and one in Reading who won't travel back to Leicester if our game is off.

Can anyone from the league make a call please unless your expecting a heatwave this afternoon.

We have received no communication from Oadby and Wigston Council. Uplands is within their jurisdiction

3 inches of snow and still snowing In Glenfield so I doubt any games will take place on our pitch this weekend

What are the conditions like in Alliance territory?

We seem to have escaped very lightly up here in the north of the County where there is no Alliance football, so it is difficult for me to assess the implications of considering a blanket postponement

I can't see any games going ahead Gordon in the central area e.g wigston,saffron lane !! Quite a bit of snow covering and even if that melts pitches are going to be flooded! Ours was called off last week because of a waterlogged pitch

About an inch in Wigston and still snowing. Bet O & W will cancel at some stage today!!

All Leicester and District League games have been postponed this morning. Even if the snow thaws I very much doubt the Parish council will allow us to play our Quarter final on our pitch tomorrow. Our fixture can't be reversed as there is a Semi final on at S&G.

It's beyond me how the council haven't called these off yet games were called off much earlier in the season for much less reasons

Spoke to my father in law who plays on knighton park in the hinckley league theyve been called off

It's grass though, not 3G? Just not ideal that we all trek to Gilmorton only for the game to be called off!

Just been dwn 2 thurmastons pitch, 2/3 covered in snow, the lads r willing to get the rest off, so ours all being well could b on

i know its grass am just saying they told us never have games called off at home fear this time they wont get a choice lol

Some games as you know have been postponed, others express some confidence in being able to play.

Out here there is hardly any snow - green grass and fields

Its thawing out on thurmastons pitch as some of u may know it dosent hold that much water

Looks like we have finally been beaten by the weather,pitch got really cut up last week also and with the snow round here there'd be no chance of game going ahead.
Pitch handles bit more than most as drains the water really well and were only team that plays on it.....unlike most council / school pitches...


Its good to have a good pitch finally after playing at uplands for years
