I regret to advise that Reem Team have resigned with immediate effect.

Their playing record will be expunged and the D2 table restated, in due course

Less said on yet another team leaving div 2 the better

But is interesting for the league, especially how it effects the top 4.
For us (MDH) at least its 2 less games to fit in by the end of the season. But means some teams around us will have less points dropped I suspect.

Been a bit of a mess for the league this year, but sure whoever comes away at the end with top spot won't be complaining too much.

Shame to see them go but not really surprised, they've struggled to get a team out a few times this season, Polska ended there last chance of silverware a couple of weeks back and they were looking at a heavy fixture list come April...

Hasn't had a massive impact at the top in terms of their results but could be a blessing for ourselves and Kilworth as we hadn't played them yet, 2 less potentially tricky fixtures to negotiate in the run in while Polska and Fairfield both lost points and possibly more importantly the goals.

Still all to play for and title race is sure to go to the wire!

No great loss, weren't really in it for the spirit of the game.

This sort of affects Magna 73 Saturday side because we have about 4 of there lads signed on to us. More suspension issues!!!

I thought the county FA kept it all separate now to earn more money?!

Not immediately - the individual players will be given a defined period of time to pay their share of the total debt.

i knew we should have let them win the quarter final.

3 points wiped, and the 3rd win we've lost this season. Small crumb of comfort one less game but a sorry state of affairs.

Always makes me laugh when people say teams folding cost them the league! Don't you try to win every game when chasing a trophy!

absolutely, bit of an urban myth the old 'folded teams' routine. There are now 9 teams left in Division 2. Whoever has the best playing record against the other 8 will deservedly win the league. In actual fact, I think MDH should now be odds-on to win the league. The resignation has certainly helped them

I don't think anyone has gained too much of an advantage from this, yes it's a couple of games less for us and Kilworth but we still have to play a number of sides capeable of taking points off us including the the other 3 title contenders, it's going to be difficult for Polska now but still have the games against others to make the points back, Kilworth have got to be caught and if Fairfield win all there games we would have to do the same (except against them) to take it down to goal dif. Still far to much to happen before anyone can be classed as favourites!

There are some big calls in there! still think mid-week fixtures will play a massive part in the run in, theres bound to be a few Friday/Wednesday night games in there somewhere which could have an effect on what sides teams can get out, especially those teams who have players facing similar fixture backlogs for their Saturday sides.........

This is an interesting league table only 2 days after declaring MDH odds on favourites for the title
I can certainly see the thinking here but I think Kilworth may pick up more than 1 point in their remaining fixtures!

for me, it all revolves around your game v Fairfield, if you win that, the table would be revised!

That would mean us winning all our games, that will be very tough, we are still In the billy walton and have a county cup final, mid week games could be our undoing....

i just went on you beating MDH simply because you did so the other week. if you do beat them, with all respect to the others, I don't think there are any other sides that will beat you
