Sounds like you'd like them to fold like the saff? at least they can afford a kit, unlike some!! at least they know how to run a team, and how to keep it going, unlike some!! at least the effort and respect for other teams is high on their list, unlike some!!!

- Depends on the ref, out of all 1st and 2nd team games we've had, only 1 has insisted on drop ball every time, all others just play on, which whilst I accept isn't perfect, is better than the drop ball IMO, which was a farce, makes it a bigger deal than it needs to be (and somehow MAKES the ball hit it more!!! ). Don't remember it being much of an issue in our game do you?
wow only one ref all season getting it right then........ Maybe, can't really say ignore that rule can I. But the rule is daft, should give some discretion to the ref, who can make a decision pre match. Rightly or wrongly, that game was spoiled a bit by the constant drop balls, sods law it hit it so many times in the one game you reffed!

| Can the venues actually remove the wire, as suggested above? It would seem daft to me if they cannot. | |

They should do it themselves if you are paying for the pitch.

| am on the understanding that the wire is tension-ed and hold two heavy curtains and would be a big job to take down and put up,,and that the company that erects may need to be called in to do it | |

| The curtains have a total weight of over 1.2 tonnes, which is supported by wire that is a minimum of 6mm, 4 strand. The total force that the wire can take is 6.5 tonnes, which is well over the weight that is created when pulling the curtains closed (weight x velocity) | |
