By all means - if Guthlaxton College is playable. Please liaise with your opponents and keep the League advised I bet if all council pitches in Oadby and Wigston are off Gutho will no doubt follow suit. They will cry off at every opportunity, haven't had a game there since about Oct/Nov.

At Brighton Ave pitches some will be down at Easter as they put the running tracks in and the Cricket square for the schools that use that field. I think its Moat CC and a private school!

No - they would normally advise James during Friday. Sometimes they make an all site, all piitches cancellation, but other times it is certain pitches on identified sites which are lost.

| I personally think the Council have been very hasty. I have just inspected the Polska pitch and in the opinion of a referee who has officiated in over 200 games it is certainly fit to be played on, and that includes pitch markings. There is a tiny - and I stress tiny - amount of water in one goalmouth and the centre circle is a bit spongy in places but there is quite a breeze around at the moment and it would certainly be ok for tomorrow. | |

| Absolutely ludicrous and pathetic decision by City Council. Twice now they've postponed for a waterlogged pitch when the games could comfortably go ahead. Not happy at all, we can't get no momentum going and the prospect of at least 16 games in 11 weeks is crazy.
Would make no difference to 'protecting the pitches' at all now.
Health and safety gone mad, can't beat a 30 yard slide tackle!

| The pitches will probably end up getting more hammered by having son many games played on them in a short space of time towards end of season as there will be less time in between for pitches to recover | |

| Those pitches come under public liability, for the money you pay each year, it wouldnt cover jacksh1t, for your measely fee for the whole year, it cannot be maintained to the standard's you're dreaming of, and dont forget other park users want to use it afterwards, and if its not fit for their purpose too, then the council can get sued left right and centre, if someone else hurts themselves on it, if a child cycles over that ground and comes off their bike, you'll be one of them that wants compensation, so stop moaning dezzdamoaner........ its not just a football pitch, its a public space. It has more than one purpose. | |

It has more than one purpose. I'm not questioning any of that helly! I understand those points, the point I was making is that due to all the games being called off the pitches eventually will come under more strain because more game will be played on them in a shorter space of time, thus having the same of not more of a negative impact on the pitches! I think games being played on a damp pitch on a Sunday, weds, fri and Sunday again will do more damage on a pitch than one game in these conditions

| Not particularly theres! I had two players suspended and if they was trying to get a league game on to make them have a couple players eligible then I wanted a match to make my two players eligible! It didn't matter anyway as apparently all squad lists are frozen till the game is played so they could of played there game but apparently their secretary left his phone at work Thursday night and i didn't get a text till Friday evening | |
