Its League and Cup week in the alliance and here is a preview of what to expect.

In the Alliance Leagues own version of the FA Cup, Round's 4,5 and 6 are taking place this week. In Round 4 Premier Sports Travel to Western Park to face Birstall Athletic, Lets hope that the nets are secured and locked away for this one. The winners play Division one leaders Magna 73 Rangers. In Round 5 Division 4 side Sporting Wigston face Premier Division big boys Scrappy Garage just 2 days after a league game. Sporting Wigston will be up for it but face a tough ask to topple the giants. In Round 6 Its an all Premier Division tie between Wigston United and GT in an evenly matched fixture. League form goes out of the window especially in a cup Quarter Final.

The only other cup fixture is the all 4th Division Stokes cup 3rd Round tie between Fosse City and Anstey Hounds. Jamie Barnett has been on top goalscoring form for Fosse bagging 34 and Anstey will have to be on top form to get a result - but its the cup and anything can happen. Fosse are expecting to get to the latter stages at least and Anstey Hounds will be desperate for an upset.

The only game in the Premierleague this week sees all conquering Advance travel to Gynsal Lane to face a Glenfield side who just scraped past Division 5 side Trinderbox and Div 4 side Birstall Rangers in the Billy Walton. Glenfield will be hoping to catch Advance on a bad day but those are few and far between and with Prem Sports and Scrappy involved in cup action its a chance for Advance to extend there lead still further at the top of the division.

Its Division ones own version of Grand Slam Sunday this week as the top 4 all face each other. Sparta Moshdock travel to unbeaten leaders Magna 73 Rangers hoping to repeat their 3-2 victory over Magna in the Arthur Moore Cup in October. These 2 sides have the hottest strikers in the league with Magna's Phil Howard up against his St Andrews team mate Aaron Preston of Sparta Moshdock.

The other big game sees Glen Parva travel to Welford Victoria where Glen Parva will be hoping Lukasz Tabaka can continue his impressive goalcoring this season. Welford suffered a big setback in there bid to secure the title with a 6-1 home defeat to Moshdock and Parva will be hoping to dish out the same treatment.

Cleansing have a very outside chance of the title but will have to put an end to the incosistency that has plagued them all season and need alot of luck, they travel to Narborough to face AFC Hurricanes.

Leicester Accies are having a terrible season and are still suffering the after affects of a tough time in the Prem, they travel to Trinity hopeful of a good result having gained confidence from a couple of narrow defeats, especially a 3-2 reversal against Glen Parva in which they were unlucky not to get something from.

In Division 2 The big game of the day is Great Wigston vs Webbys. Great Wigston still have a shot at the title being 9pts behind with 2 games in hand on leaders Kirby and will be looking to Nathan Rutter and Karl Towers to find the net against a Webbies side with a mean defence. Webbies goals have mainly come from former Premier Sports star Matt Baines and the familiar face of Matt Blake and I'm sure Oily will get his boys up for it but it is a game they dare not lose to keep in touch with Kirby Muxloe.

Kirby themselves have a tricky tie against an inconsistent FC Tumar side who lie 7th having won 6 and lost 7. Tumar tend to ship goals and Kirby will look to take advantage of this, Kirby have already beaten Tumar comfortably this season having won 4-1 at Northfield Park.

Guthlaxton lie 5th having played significantly less games than most of the other teams, they travel to Fleckney in a game they would expect to win but with players such as Sam Kilsby and Gavin Cuppleditch Fleckney are capable of a surprise.

Bottom side Leicester Polska Res look to do a damage limitation job against traditional Div 2 front runners Wigston United Reserves.

With Western Athletic and Magna Town clashing in the Sunday Trophy Semi Final AC Wigston have the chance to top Division 3 once again if they overcome a Willows side who lie in 4th having lost just 1 game all season. AC Wigston have played significantly more games than the opposition and have suffered 2 heavy defeats of late which will dent the confidence. Willows will fancy there chances of getting a result at Mossdale Meadows.

Bottom side AFC Beaumont face the task of trying to halt Countesthorpe Royals' progression. Countesthorpe won in the Sunday Trophy Semi Final against Three Nuns so they will be playing for cup final places.

Exeter Arms face AFC Bees Knees at home in a game they should expect to win but Bees Knees have beaten Western Athletic this season so are capable of getting a result. Those 3pts Exeter Arms lost could be vital at the end of the season.

Division 4 sees a Friday Night Fixture when MDH Sports take on Sporting Wigston. Sporting find themselves in a lowly 10th place having played just 8 league games but any hope of the title has vanished. MDH are 6pts clear of Sporting but have played 4 games more. MDH got beat 7-3 by Desford in there last game but were only narrowly beaten 2-1 by leaders Fosse the week before.

With Fosse out of action in the cup its a chance for Humberstone to go top if they beat Desford United at home. Humberstone will have to keep an eye on James Costello who scored 6 last time out against MDH. Humberstone have had an excellent season and comfortably won there last 2 games and will be looking to Mark Gifford to add to his tally of 33 goals.

In Div 5 Trinderbox are looking to make it 11 from 11 with a victory at home to mid table Hat & Beaver but the big game is 3rd v 2nd when CSKS Carnaby travel to Harrow. CSKA are level with Trinderbox having played 5 games more and will be looking to cement 2nd place with victory over a Harrow side who have picked up 16 from a possible 18pts.

Pheonix lie 5th 6pts and 2 games in hand on Harrow so they are still in the hunt, they travel to Exeter Arms to play the Reserve team who lie 2nd bottom.

Lol @ Declan Swan
I dont know Barnett is but i gather from your comment he might be a big head?? Smile

I'm obviously very busy at work as you can tell and I thought I would do a little write up.

Ben, its a massive game - Moshdock away was the hardest game of the season for us and we came out of it with a 2-1 win at Horsewell Lane and they have already beaten us at the meadows this season in the Arthur Moore Cup.

They have some very good players and I'm surprised they have dropped so far behind us.

At this present time Glen Parva are still a big threat and they are traditionally our bogie team.
