Aims for 2012/13

Ok, i know the constitution is provisional, but, whats your aims for next season? What would you like as a realistic minimum?

From my own personal point of view for the NRI, i would like the following:

League - this is where we are at our best, getting the same squad out week in week out, ensuring we can have some consistency, also with the players to hurt other teams. With the new signings that we have confirmed, plus one that Malc is working his magic on, i would hope that we get this consistancy together and have a top 3 finish. Would like to be pushing for promotion come the end of the season. Also, would like their to be nothing to play for in the last game so that i can join Malc up front!!! in light of new signing, now expecting to win the league!

Arthur Moore - genuinely excited about this, i hope we get drawn in a group with Advance or S&G to be honest....i think we can cause an upset against many teams with our strongest 11 out. Out of the group stages as the very minimum, but i would like to get to the semi finals and then see what happens!

County Cup - this is the cup i am desperate to win, last year was probably our best chance to win this, but, i do believe the higher up you go, the less likely you are to be caught out by other leagues being played at the wrong level. I want to win this cup so i am going to predict Holmes Park and name on the cup!!!

Billy Walton - well after Huncote making such big noises in this cup last year, maybe its time to start viewing this as a possible route to Holmes Park? I guess that now we are a div 1 side we will be classed as one of the 'big boys' haha, i know when i have played against teams a few divs higher in the past, you see it as a big game and put that extra effort in...would like to get to the quarter finals of this comp as a minimum obviously

From my own personal point of view for White Eagles, i would like the following:

League - Personally, I am hoping for a more consistent season than the last one despite coming fourth. I believe that this season we will only strengthen further and another top 4 aim really is the absolute minimum, hopefully we will be challenging come the end of the season!

County Cup - We did quite well in this last year, making it to the last 16 before losing to Leicester Constab. I know now that our current team is an improvement on the one that lost to the Cops and for me this is the one that anything really can happen as you know very little about non-alliance league opposition!

Billy Walton - In all fairness, I'm not too fussed about this one. An early knockout could help us rather than hinder us

Stokes Cup - Would really like to give this a good crack. There were some good teams in it last year with the likes of St Marks, GHW, Kajima - who are all now in Div 3 and quite a few have moved up to Div 4 too so I think a semi-final appearance at least would be nice.

MDH Knights (not sure on the gaffa targets but mine)

League - We had a nightmare start last season and only win in the first 6 was against a team that folded so effectively lost the opening 5 and still bounced back to finish 4th in the table, hoping we can continue the form from the end of the season and push for a top 3 finish and another promotion.

EW Fosters cup - After reaching the Semi's last year we were dispointed not to make the final but in the last 2 seasons we have had some good cup runs so will fancy our chances of going one better and having another trip to Holmes Park!

County Cup - Can see this being a very tough one this season and just be happy to get a few wins under our belt.

Billy Walton - As always will do our best and hope for the chance to take a prem scalp but realistically don't have any expectations.

would love to be able to master the Polish language. although I fear that will take a lot longer than 2012-13

League - With potentially a few changes we are aiming for a season of consolation, mid table in a higher division will be more than happy with. especially if we can do the double over Webbys - just for you Oily:)

EW Fosters cup - Might be our best change of a pot and one that we will be doing everything to make sure we are in with a shout

County Cup - Would love to do this one, were really unlucky against Magna in the quarters last year (least they can't knock us out) would hope to at least get that for again

Billy Walton - I think you should always try to go better than the previous year and that is the plan in all competitions.....I am only returning the runners up Trophy if we can swap it for the winners

Star & Garter

I don't know the lads that well yet but I have heard who we are signing so.............

League - I expect us to be challenging for the title at the very least this season, last season's squad was more than capable anyway but with the recent additions it could be an exciting season.

Arthur Moore Cup - The only expectation will be to win it, certainly get to Holmes Park.

Premier Cup - Hopefully make a mark on this competition and reach the last 4. S&G have won the county cup they have been entered in the last 2 season's but the Premier Cup is a different level.

Billy Walton - Like the Arthur Moore, we will be expecting to reach the final, we will have the ability to do so but you never know in cup football.

FA Sunday Cup - Get to the 2nd or 3rd Round hopefully

I forgot the FA Sunday Cup!! IF our bunch of retards are allowed in it (i include myself in that), then our aim will be to play a team from Birmingham and have an all dayer on the Sunday and go to a strip club...

It's all about the strip clubs.............

I bet we draw S&G!!! In which case, lets play the game somewhere oop north

Wigston Rangers

Div 5 - I expect us to be competitive and to keep building. Hopefully we can challenge for the title, but this is perhaps unlikely. I would like to avoid relegation and perhaps be promoted again as we have players capable of playing much higher than division 5.

Stokes Cup - I fancy us to do well in this hopefully reach the quarter finals, would love a Holmes Park trip.

County Vase - Pretty much the same as Stokes cup hopefully.

Billy Walton Cup - We will Beat NRI in the Semi's and then Advance in the Finals in the biggest shock in Alliance League History.

Sparta Moshdock

Difficult to know where to go from last season, we achieved so much in our first year in the Prem. I guess we have to say challenging for the title, but with so many new and good teams now in the Prem it is going to be another hard season.

However, if we manage to get the few players in we want then we should be able to hold our own again and challenge for the top few spots.

Away from the league, we really want a better cup run in all the cups. Holmes Park is where we want to be at the end of the season!

I think the Prem will be very tough this year, Advance, Prem, Moshdock, S&G, Oscar and i have heard good stuff about Glenny Town getting new manager and players....looks like it will be really good up there

Webbys.

After last years poor preseason preperations already looking better, squad and
quality wise.
Hope we get out of the draw habit but with the addition of a striker should be
o.k. but looks a tough league.

Oscars Fc ....
Hopefully we can turn a few heads and show the potential we showed before our miserable last season... Would be very nice to shake things up at the top end of the Premiership and hopefully get a consistent SQUAD that can be relied on week in week out, and were all buzzing at the challenge!

There's definitely gonna be plenty of division 1 based banter, should be good fun!

Honestly, before the provisional leagues were announced I was thinking we'd finish comfortably in a mid table position, but seeing all the new teams and hearing how good they're likely to be makes me fearful of a very tough season.

New teams are going to be playing under their level, but, you look at our division 3 last year, us Magna, saff were top, because we got same team out. others with superstars folded or just failed to get them out. in the league, its your consistent sides to fear. Us, you, muxloe etc

CSKA (first team)

Div 4

For 2 seasons we've been about 10 points behind the protion chasing pack, and 10 points above any kind of relegation danger. We're bored of mid table obscurity so the aim is to go into the last month of the season with a chance of the title. We belive it's realistic but we also know it's a very tough division. There's a few players going out and a few good additions coming in, on paper our squad looks good so we'll just have to see how it goes for us.

EW Fosters

First time in this cup competition and being in the lowest ranked division will obviously be tough. At the end of last season we said minimal aim is a Holmes park final this season, thinking we'd still be competing in the Stokes cup. It'd be nice to have a good run but we are certainly under no illusions.

County Cup

Again like in the EW Fosters moving up from 5 to 4 means a whole new County Competition and a whole host of better teams involved from the offset. As long a we get towards the later stages in one of the two competitions. i.e Quarter Final stages then we'll be happy.

Billy Walton.

After losing in the 1st round in our previous 4 seasons our aim in to reach the second round. Simple.

A.F.C Royal Oak

League - Having been surprisingly promoted, I think division 5 looks very tough next season. We managed to get a good core of players down last season, so, if we can do this again I dont see why we can't get a top half finish. We have a few players that have retired so all depends on who we can get down in the summer to fill their boots.

Stokes cup - was disappointed not to get a little further last season going out to a less than predictable pollard crusaders. Will be looking to get to atleast the semis this time round. Hopefully the draw can be kind to us

County cup - sure to be a tough cup to win but one I'd personally like us to do well in.

Billy Walton - obviously almost impossible for a division 5 side to do very well in this but we'd like a favourable draw and then to have a chance at taking a big scalp. That's a personal opinion ( not sure rest of lads would feel the same).

rumour has it that car breakers have noone to run them next season and if that doesnt change, then they will be folding

Good point, if nothing else, we will have pretty much the same team out every week. You've signed a few new players, how you gonna keep everyone happy? Or have you given some the boot? Hope you don't end up with unrest in the camp, that would be awful

Anything which can be done to improve players' loyalty to their club would be a big plus.

The ones that meet and socialise in one form or another away from the game are the ones that lose fewer players.

Do you enjoy the game and any cups are a bonus and stay around for a long time.... or

do you recruit stars, get promoted to a level where it look as though there is no silverware in the offing, lose the stars and fold - either mid-season or at the end of the season.

These days, there seems to be more of the latter than there ever was

I think we have lost three and a half players (retired, dropping down a few divs, working every other sunday and staying at her majesties pleasure, none booted) from last season and brought four in...last year we had to put Dave Ilnicki at centre half in a lot of games when Malc wanted him up front. Brought in a few quality players though, needed to bring them in if we wanted to be at the top end, steadily improving the quality was the aim, had to accelerate it a bit this year for the double jump, but all the players are very reliable and well known to the team...

We are down the Old Library on Saturday for a session, then away in August...alls tickety boo lol

we defo wont smash it malc, reality is that i believe we will have a fairly good side but i dont know what any of the other sides in our division are like, just going to wait and see what happens lol i remember when highcross moved over to here and were tipped by big things and i quite believed that myself having won the lsl and coming to alliance with a much stronger side and look at how that turned out hahahahaha

Think our Division is going to be a monster, think the winners of the league will fail to win 7 games or so, think many will take points off each other all season long, looking forward to it, can't wait for those sunday mornings again

yeah i agree it will be very tight in div 1!! although gaz hyatt has just informed me on widds' facebook we wont win s*#* as he knows something i dont lol so from that info i am now ruling us out of contention
