Why can't we just play it at our pitch???

Is there a reason why QPR have been told they are not allowed to play on the school premises this weekend but other teams appear to be allowed to do so both today and tomorrow?

qpr had 3 players out so if that makes it so we cant play when we have 6 subs every week then ok yoi've caught us out .
if u google stonehill schools number and give them a call then they will tell u the same.
it aint our choice to postpone and we should of played u 2 weeks ago but we got told it was cancelled was that because u didnt have a full team? we never came on making stuff up so would appreciste if u didnt do the same

We wanted to play you 2 weeks ago, but you had requested a free week! We definitely had a full team because we all went down to watch the ressies.
You need to speak to your secretary tho, he told me we couldn't play at our pitch because he had told all his players that the game was off and that they had all gone away for the day!

2 matches were played at Stonehill School today by the way.

Turned up today and the caretaker of their ground wouldnt open it up, we were well up for the game, offered to reverse it but they had no intention, not happy but on the beer since 10.30 so happy days x

sorry to bore everyone with a petty argument on the wrong topic as this thread should be for results only but 2 weeks ago mr cska we didnt request a free week as we had used this in november and as we were told wednesday the game was off why wait till today to post on the forum?

Luke here, CSKA boss.

Not sure if you are involved with the running or what at QPR. All we know is the week we were supposed to play, we were told by the league that the game could not go ahead as QPR had requested it to be a free week. The fixtures chap asked your secretary if it could be played still and your secretary advised the fixtures chap that your lads couldn't do that date hence the request so we were left without a Sunday game despite fixture pile-up. We assumed it was a genuine mistake on fixtures side of things but we were told by the league it was requested and I am sure the league will confirm this.

As for this weekend, we were told the game looked likely to be off on Wednesday but did not have it officially called off till Friday. We made one or two suggestion to the league on Wednesday hoping one of the options would be viable but it was eventually decided they were not.

What has annoyed us our end is the school premises were open today and yesterday. Games took place. But we were told the game was off as the school premises were shut. Somewhere along the line, something has gone amiss but we were available for both dates and wanted the game played both dates. Ironically, we had three of our best lads missing today including our top scorer but he'll now be back for any possible reivsed fixture. We still wanted it played today however.

im not really too sure whats been going on. gettin mixed messages from both sides. as captain of qpr i want to apologise for all the confussion. i dont do any of the organising all i know is that we wanted to play both games arranged against u and i only know what the manager has told me. on a personal note im just annoyed at having to sit at home instead of playing footy. hopefully it wont get cancelled again good luck for your remaining games

Cheers for the reply Norty. I didn't want there being any confusion hence my posts. As I say, I sure James Shepherd would happily confirm that QPR had booked that previous week off and I appreciate your apology although it sounds like it is none of your doing anyhow.

We've fixtures aplenty so were itching to get both games on like yourself. You can imagine how frustrating it is when we then see games going ahead at the school this weekend despite being told they could not go ahead.

Looks like we'll see you on May 6th now from what we were told on phone today. All the best pal.
