OMG the Ref was right after all

Free kick inside the penalty area
Direct or indirect free kick to the defending team:
• all opponents must be at least 9.15 m (10 yds) from the ball
• all opponents must remain outside the penalty area until the ball is in play
• the ball is in play when it is kicked directly out of the penalty area
• a free kick awarded in the goal area may be taken from any point inside
that area

take it someone was taking you on Clive over the laws of the game? not one of those wise players who learns all the laws of the game through watching sky was it?

it has happened about three times this season,,seems to be a common thought that its only a goal kick that needs to leave the area

sorry mate the extract above is taken from the Laws of the Game 2011 FIFA website,,,,any defensive free kick or goal kick has to leave the area to be in play

You pay for a service you expect delivery, would say Mr Scriven jnr was excellent today but a couple of big decisions made by each lino were questionable and maybe the size of the game was a little out of their depth fitness wise.

we've got a good pool of refs this season and credit to Stewart Walker for keeping a difficult job under control

Course not but when the game is played at the pace when the top 2 teams in the Alliance are facing each other, it may be an idea not to have 2 assistants that (and i dont mean this disrespectfully) have had their better physical years behind them

I would of thought the same of some of the players playing aswell !!
