Div 6 points deductions?

Anyone know why Sporting Swapo have suddenly gone to minus 3 points? Two *'s next to team name but no reference to say what it means anywhere on table??

Without going into detail it would appear to be for some indiscretions on the playing side which was dealt with through the correct channels by the league and the club

Yes, as you might expect, I know - Disciplinary Matters.

1. Playing a Suspended Player - 3pts deducted
2. Playing an Unregistered Player - 3 pts deducted.

The ineligible players played in two different games - both of which Sporting Swapo won. Those results are now void and deleted from the playing record - reduction of 6 points. The two games will be rescheduled, so of course the opportunity exists to recover some or all of the 6 points assuming they win the rescheduled games - with eligible players.

In addition there are financial penalties involved.

The decisions are subject to any appeal to County FA, but Alliance rules and procedures have been followed.

The decisions, both of the League and the County FA should act as another stark warning to all clubs not to play Unregistered or Suspended players

Absolutely correct Hellboy - that is the relevant League rule which has been actioned.

Thank goodness someones doing the job properly, rules are rules, if you don't like the punishment, don't cheat.

How was I proved on this occasion? Just curious.

Thanks for the clarification on that one Gordon/Hellboy. I had not seen this before so was unaware what deductions were made for.
