Don't know how we lost to ellis park today!! Fair play they had a game plan which was not to venture past their own halfway line and just defend! Which they did very well!! Thy snatched a goal and we had to chase thee game!! We missed 4 penos in the shoot out 2 saved,1 wide and the 4th apparently ref said it didn't cross the line after it bounced down off the crossbar even though everyone else including there team could see it!! Our keeper made 3 great saves aswell

bullshead 3-2 loughborough saints

very competitive game went 1-0 up through ebony then they got an equaliser went 2-1 up just before half time ebony again
come out second half end to end stuff they went through 1 on 1 and bang 2-2. last two mins hussey pulls a 25 yard screamer top corner for the win.
just got to say loughborough are a very good footballing side definately 1 of the best teams we have played and in all fairness id say they just shaded it and deserved something but take nothing away from the lads they all put their hearts on their sleeves today and got a result round 3 here we come Laughing

L.K Old Boys 1-16 West End United Reserves

Great performance by our boys today, didnt show any complaicency against "the whipping" boys of the dvision, started strong and took the game to the hosts from the start, all our lads gave 100% today probably could have been more like 20 goals scored but squandered alot of chances, fair plays to the lk boys though that fought till the end having no subs to bring on when they started to tire.

Throops 7
Western 8
A.E.T

Goals
Dave hill 1
Mitch warner 7 ( again!! )

Still at a bit of a loss as to how we won this one to be honest as for the first 45 we were shocking and were lucky to only be 4-0 down at half time!

Second half begun the same as the first ended with throops dominating and taking the score to 5-0. At this point there could only ever be one result really and with 25 left to play the world turned on it's head and by the 90th minute we had managed to force extra time through 5 mitch warner goals!

We were the better side going into extra time and opened up a 2 goal advantage only for throops to come back at us to level again at 7-7 with only 5 minutes left of extra time to leave the game heading to penalties but mitch warner was not happy with just the 6 goals and went and won the game for us with barely 2 minutes left.

A real up and down game for both teams and not ho

We beat office update today 7-2. Could and should have bagged at least 4 more. I reckon we had about 70 percent possession and we cut them open almost at Will. Enjoying the cup run and hope to play melton at some stage as they must now be the team to beat. Seems odd that they are in this cup. County fa seem to get this kind of thing wrong quite regularly. Happened twice to me in past few years. Still, up the NRI!

Magna 73 Rangers 1-2 Scraptoft Garage

To say that I am proud of everyone of our players today would be an understatement.

Bare in mind we only had 11. Steve Oliff was told by his Saturday manager that he was not allowed to play and Chris Keeling was in hospital overnight with his 1 year old lad.

These 2 players are so influential for us that it would have been easy to drop our heads and accept our fate against a side who man for man are more superior to us in every department and have averaged 8 goals a game in the toughest league in the county

We were outstanding, Ryan Ogden actually gave us the lead and although Scrappy were pressin us and attacking in numbers they were not creating a great deal due to magnificent defending - you will not have seen a better defensive display anywhere in the world this weekend i'm telling you.

There equaliser came thanks to a ricochet in the box which went in of Matt Shuter which was lucky and in the 2nd half I didnt have to make 1 single save - thats how good we were at the back - how many keepers will come of the pitch having played Scrappy Garage and say "I only had to make a couple of saves"

There 2nd was with about 10 minutes to go and when Kirk Holland lost his concentration for 1 second they were in Maza I think his name was barred down on me from the corner of the 18 yard box towards my 6 yard box and as I came out to meet him he fired it across goal where Matt Shuter was able to tap it in despite yet again 2 players on the line.

To play Advance and Scrappy and be missing key players Like Steve O, Chris K, Gee, Browny and Bomma and concede 5 goals and not disgrace yourself is not bad going. Our other League defeats have been 2-1 against Prem Sports and 3-2 to Glenny

We are not far away, but today we had to defend for our lives but in the end they just snuck through.

Well played Scrappy though - I'm telling you that Advance v Scrappy will be a game and a half!!

Mdh Knights 7 : 6 Kibworth aet
A crazy day but at least there was plenty for the neutral!!

Informed by the ref that you cannot shoot directly from a kick off, are we sure that's the case???
With that said that was far from his worst moment. We csnt put the blame their entirely however.
Kibworth came out quickly snapping into their tackles the faster and all round wanting it more.
The couple of times we played the ball we created good chances, Az squandered a penalty and Ben Sparrow missed from a few yards out. Kibworths work rate deserved the lead and they took it and for the next hour or so the scores flip flopped. Why the Kibworth boys felt the need to moan about EVERYTHING is beyond me but there work rate and the 2 lads up top were pretty impressive.
Long story short into extra time and played one bit of football whoich led to goal of the game from graeme graves which. Ended up bein enough to move into the next round.
We were made to work by an organosed team looking to play long ball and for some reason we went down to that level too, still we fought our way out of a tricky spot and live to fight another day.

we were far from our best today though. we were missing our captain who is a big player for us . but every player gave it there all and were happy to get the points

to be fair buddy we were never in this game.... i mentioned in another thread we had 5 first team players and the rest were lads that are signed on to help out.... the other half of the reserves were in Earl Shilton doing us proud with a win.. the idea was to fulfill the fixtures and keep both Wigston United teams going which we did do.

Never in the game though and you boys deserved your win... played some good stuff too. all the best in the next round.

Thorpe Astley 1 - 3 Niffy A

Well fought game between the 2 teams, 0-0 at half time. We simply had a 10 minute spell where we got our first 2 goals, then fluked a clearance from the half way line which seemed to some how lob the goalkeeper.

Westfield Wanderers 2010 2 Phoenix United 8

To be fair a bit of a walk in the park against what I assume is a newly formed team that have probably just came from the kids league. We looked comfortable and our 5 man midfield looking lively at the moment where we seem to have discovered the right balance of speed skill and strength in there. Hopefully we can start to make a steady climb up the league now with a bit of momentum.

And ive never seen anyone get two red cards in the space of 2min for saying the ref wa sh!t then calling him a coffin dodger for a corner decision at 2-8 down lol

5 players out today and a good game today started abit tight wigston looked decent and we thought we was in for a game. got in at 4-1 wigston was still in it but they turned off and we just punished them we played some very good football today knocked it around well tom wood must of megged at least 5 or 6 times today done the same player twice!!! fair play to wigston they never gave in and tried for 90 minutes. i hope all goes well for you with the troubles you have been having and all the best for the rest of the season

to be fair buddy we were never in this game.... i mentioned in another thread we had 5 first team players and the rest were lads that are signed on to help out.... the other half of the reserves were in Earl Shilton doing us proud with a win.. the idea was to fulfill the fixtures and keep both Wigston United teams going which we did do.

Never in the game though and you boys deserved your win... played some good stuff too. all the best in the next round.
we wan't at full strength but some of your lads looked decent mate just need a few more in there and you will be sound, i'll tell you what you can break away fast as ryan. and thanks for your comment in the next round all the best bud

Is this another team heading for the alliance next season? Keep up the good work Ryan..
