We've registered our proper players thank you, and we're a new team - How are we meant to gauge ourselves when we met with the Alliance League before playing a game?

Furthermore, who are you and what team are you, and have we even played you?

Personally if this is true then this will be every season we have had a bandit team in our division, I hope the league get this right.

I've heard they've folded as well. And another Prem team might be following them.

Then maybe 2 div 1 teams not far behind

It's our first season together. We're a new team, just because we've had some good results were now suddenly good enough to play in division 3.

Fixtures out next Tuesday , actually should be an interesting meeting. The teams asked to move up divisions are not going to be happy. Let the fun begin

I'm looking forward to the meeting on Tuesday with this being the first team (I and the 4 other committee members) have been involved in, I will get to meet a lot of new faces and hopefully learn a lot too.

surley the fixtures won't be ready for Tuesday with the late pullout of teams?

With the rumours of another few teams in the higher divisions going around I think it would be unwise to give out fixtures. With team(s) being told they will have to move up could cause even more disruption

Bretty ive heard were one of the sides pencilled in to move up.
Were struggling to get a side and cant see it changing as you experienced
two weeks ago.
Not sure we will make 1st game of the season,got a meeting sunday to see where we go.

I also heard that rumours about yourselves, is oadby ath the team from Hinckley prem? Surely there the team to move up? If there's anyway Niffy can help give us a shout. If the committee members are reading this I can assure you that webbys are not doing a foxes.

didnt gaunt finish top half of the charnwood prem last term?surely they will step up.

Not at all we have not asked to go down or anything like that and have busted a gut trying
to get 11 players out but constant let downs have took thier toll and it gets to a stage where
enough is enough and our squad is quite old.
Just feel sorry for the 6-7 regulars and our sponsers who have given us a kit and bits and
bobs for the season hey ho see what sunday brings and we will go from there.
We will play the friendlies we have booked to see if we can see it through.

Shame to see this league get weaker each year (IMO). Star should comfortably win the Premier. Maybe going to another division is a stretch too far? Time to reconsider I think. And quickly. Time is ticking.

Cant make a call on my own will meet up with the lads and get the views of them the fine will
be the same whether this sunday or the sunday before the season.
Will give it as much time as we can then make the call.
But at the moment looking grim.

Nope, you are thinking of Athletic Oadby from LSL Prem.

Cheers LK, apologies to oadby in that case. Hate to say it but it proves gossip isn't always correct. it can't be easy sorting these divisions out, that's why having nine leagues is one step to far in my opinion

They are from LSL Premier Division and are now happily placed in Div 1 calling themselves Oadby Athletic 2012 (not very subtle) of the AL via the constitution.

Easy, look at the names of your signed players, who they have played for and what they have won...ain't rocket science is it lad?!

Wrong, not J.C. & Coley (Coleman not Coalman!) was never going to play for us this season so up to him where he goes.

Yes he is a quality player whom I admire and respect greatly.

We did enjoy a great deal of success whilst he played for us, but no matter how good he is, takes a lot more than just one player to win trophies.

Let me just clarify, St. Andrews keeper, yes signed on, but hasn't played in goal, yes we've got lads who are good, but a lot of them haven't played competitive football for years, we've got players signed on because a lot of us work shifts, we've had our full squad for 2 of our friendlies and it will be the same through out the season, so these names we've signed on are not guaranteed to be there week in week out. Going to look good in a higher division ain't it. few good results then a run of poor. But never the less, nice to see were being spoken about

I take it all back stick them in Div 1, there beating everyone St Marks ,Leicester Bharat Talbot

9 divisions is a challenge, but given the sheer weight of numbers, it just isn't feasible to cram all those numbers into just 8 divisions because then fixture backlogs would be a nightmare. Even if some teams do fold, we are still looking at the low to mid 90s in terms of numbers.

Being pushed up to the prem certainly aint gonna help is it oily?dont get it really.. gaunt played in a strong charnwood prem last season and have strengthened considerably someone isnt doing their homework!!!
