Enness 3 - 4 Club

Our toughest game we have ever played. Came up against a physical team who knew how to play the ball around.

We took the lead after 15 minutes with a free kick struck cleanly by Michael Cornish. Club kept pressing and after a very dubious penalty decision, equalised from the spot. They then broke our defence and took the lead going into the second half.

We still hadn't got going and club went 4-1 up! Happy to say we didn't give up and capitalised on club thinking the job was done and scored two in quick succession, coming from Iain Gray and debutant David whitehead. We may have even secured a point at the end with a shot at goal but wasn't to be.

Club deserved their win today and we look forward to the return fixture!!

Inter Mivan 3 WPR 2 - WPR were ahead after 6 minutes but we went down to 10 men after 10 mins, due to a sending off, even though the ref confirmed he didn't see it, We were not at our best last night, but credit to the lads for their battling spirit on what was a very poor pitch which meant we had to change the way we played. We move on to Sunday at home with a number of first team players back into the mix.

Went and watched Pukka Pies vs Vale. Thought Pukka Pies were the better team had some great chances as did the away side. Vale hit the bar to nearly make it 2-2 with about 5 to go then Pukka nicked one on the break. Bar the red card it was a decent game to watch, could of gone either way.

Got to the game at full time yest, so only going on lads info. To play for 80 mins with 10 men and lose by a single goal shows great spirit at WPR. And the last 15 mins was squeaky bum time by our lads account.
Cant comment on refs decision for red card but heard he was the last man, therefore it should be one in honesty, and credit to our forward for telling the ref it was outside the box, as the ref was about to award a penalty (did get slack from the other lads for changing refs mind, but definatley correct in telling ref - PLAY HARD PLAY FAIR !!)
For us, 3 hard earnt points and off to a good start against a strong WPR side.
Good luck to WPR for rest of season !!
Next up Pukka, who got a good result against Vale yesterday. Should be a cracking game !!

United Revolution 5 Spinney Hill 1

To be honest a poor performance from us knowing how we can play. We rarely got the ball down and used it like we should have. Missed a lot of chances, but 3 points midweek is a massive plus.

We will need to improve on Sunday.

Get well soon Ty who has taken away from the ground in an ambulance on his debut following an innocent looking challenge. Sounds like pelvic muscle problems, thanks to the paramedics who spent a lot of time ensuring he was ok and following the necessary precautions for a back injury.

Goals from:
Mark Brennan
Ross Griffin (Pen)
Sam Broderick
Warren Ball
Jim Markley

Fair play to Spinney Hill as well, good set of lads, and looked dangerous when they strung some passes together. A little more organisation and time playing together and they will become a useful Alliance league side

Luttlerworth Club 4 - 3 Little Bowden was the score... not 4-2. We went 3-0 down, got it back to 3-2, they scored a fourth and we scored seconds before the end.

30 -40 seconds until half time, to concede a goal and have a man sent off, with the score at 1-1, definitely changed the team talk lol. Well played UR and send our best wishes to the lad who got injured

Not to mention we (pukkas) hit the bar twice in the first half, was a good game shame about the amount of fouls made, and the lad who came on as sub to just make awful fouls which led to his straight red, no wonder our player reacted

yeah i agree, to be fair i think vale hit the post or bar a couple of times (so evened itself out Very Happy ) thought you could of wrapped it up first half!! yep i agree, that foul was horrendous, think it's one of the worst i've seen how high it was. Just glad the player didn't get serious injury. Good result though.

to be honest it was very hard to have to give the second red card in the Pukka Pies game,,,the player naturally reacted to a nasty tackle. easy to say that the player should have walked away, but this made it ten on ten, had he not reacted. it would have been eleven v ten..
