Round 1 of the FA Sunday Cup is scheduled to be played this Sunday, 20 October.

We have 3 Alliance teams involved and I am sure they would appreciate your support. They all kick off at 2.00pm so how about getting along to one of the games after your morning football.

Star and Garter are the only Alliance team favoured with a home fixture. They take on The New Welfare, a Mansfield & District Sunday League team http://full-time.thefa.com/Index.do?league=992177693
The match will be played at Friar Lane & Epworth FC.

Sparta Moshdock make the relatively short journey to Birstall United FC to meet Birstall Stamford. I am sure you are all very familiar with the Charnwood Sunday League team http://www.csfl.co.uk/tab_pd.htm

Thurmaston WMP 2009 have a longer trip, to Selston FC ( http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/selstonfootballclub/location/ )
where they  meet Jacksdale MW, an Alfreton & District Sunday League team http://fulltime.thefa.com/Index.do?league=8563255

We wish the Alliance representatives well and hope they enjoy the occasion and survive to the Round 2 draw.

Great result for moshdock stanny normally go through few rounds and do well but 4-1 great stuff.
As for Thurmo well what a day great afternoon football went 2-0 up looking solid but gave goal away last 5 mins first half 2-1 HT
Jacksdale came out fighting put us under pressure for 20 went 2-2 we turned that pressure into good defending and then went 4-2 up with 10 to play hit post and gave away penalty straight after 4-3 then literately 30 seconds left of 90 Matty Crawford swing a left foot at a cross and bang 4-4 own goal.
Into aet the played some decent football scored another penalty sloppy defending cost us then scored again to take it 6-4 a quick free kick by myself in off the post pegged them back 6-5 then in aet lat kick off game we had free kick 30 yards out swung in rattled the cross bar inches away from penalty shoot out the go straight up on break seal a 7-5 win.
Amazing game we didn't deserve to lose after being 4-2 up but fair play to them ! Star and garter and moshdock honestly you'll be begging to play them next round there for taking average team with decent rw and cm wasn't bad.

The Round 2 draw has resulted in

Jacksdale MW v Sparta Moshdock - this is the team which defeated Thurmaston WMP 2009 in Round 1 so an exchange of information could be desirable

Church Hill v Star & Garter - A Redditch and South Warwickshire Combination team who play at Studley. See http://full-time.thefa.com/Index.do?league=991984608

Fixtures on Sunday 17 November - 1.00pm kick off (tbc)

Good pitch was in top condition. Very very clumsy defence jake wain Aron Preston will and will score 3 each. Decent midfield one lad that was very lucky stay on pitch was good and physical !!
Right winger tricky good player keeper fat stump cannot command any corners or free kicks good at kicks .ohh and left back was worst player fat and slow but jacksdale don't give up as we found out 4-2 with left. Anyway mosh dock should be too good going forward might take trip over

Don't ruin it!

By the way, how lucky are Moshdock having TWO away games in succession. I don't want to hear any complaints about Money from them.

Another away draw for Moshdock. They must be raking it in.

A home draw for us which is an absolute ball ache for me personally but in terms of the tie, I feel we have a chance but it'll be another tough game as all games are in this competition.

You say that, but as we got a bye I don't think we get the money for the last round?!

In terms of the draw, we know nothing about FC Houghton Centre. They haven't made a great start to their league, winning 2 but losing 5. However, we all know this cup is a different matter!

But we'll enjoy the day out and hope to get a result!

Star & Garter 1-1 Hundred Acre - Hundred Acre won 4-2 on pens

Just wasn't meant to be. I know a lot of sides will bemoan bad luck and often say they deserved to win when in truth they didn't.

We did deserve to win yesterday, ask anyone who was there - all 47 of them!!

We created the more chances, Hit the bar twice in the last 10 minutes of normal time and bad decision making in the final third cost us dearly.

We are gutted to be honest, Penalties are a lottery so no blame attached to the guys who missed.

Good luck to them in the next round. Unlucky to Sparta Moshdock who went out to a late goal.
