Is it the sub zero temperatures or the torrential rain we are due to have? Absolute ******!

I understand pitches need to be managed so they aren't destroyed, but this is getting crazy. Had a bit of rain, not enough for games to be off though surely

Cprs didn't get played on last week!!! Well as ours is a bog!!! Some people are makin very strange decisions!

In your little nutshell, basically its a public space, so anyone using the park afterwards would sue the council if they sustained an injury from a poorly maintained area, its for public use, the health and safety issues nowadays have gone looney, yes its ok to play a game of football on, but it wouldnt be alright for me to walk my dog on afterwards or my children to play on, they dont have a team of groundsmen going on afterwards filling in all the holes and trenches, therefore the use of the parks are for everybody, and it cannot be left in that terrible state that your team leaves it in, now do you understand why games get cancelled?

i think its a lot simpler than that Hellboy. The pitches will get churned up and the more the damage that is done to them now, the less likely it is they will be able to be played on in the foreseeable future. if the damage is done now, we could have 6 weeks of unfit pitches as opposed to one or two. And we have had a lot of rain last few days

agreed, but theres always one plonker that will want to make a claim, they slide over on the ice and think its the coucils fault for not gritting the path, there'll always be the one.

the council are still going to want the pitch fee`s which noone can afford because noone has made any money to pay them because noone has played any games ....... swings in roundabouts

You still get to play all your games, come the end of the season, if not you are entitled to a refund......but do check with the lease agreement which you have signed, i'm sure it states what happens in the event of unforseen circumstances, always best to check these things before you sign them, as with any agreement they are subject to change.

We could do with some new swings and roundabouts on our park, the vandals keep breaking them.

How's everyone enjoying their football this morning? I have had to make do with the Chelsea v's Corinthians match! Have had to close the curtains though as the bright Sun is right in my eyes!! Heatings on full blast obviously as is F F F Freezing, obviously! What a terrible day for a game of Footy!

Surely no one will be (or should be)playing a game in these dangerous conditions?????

one game on a pitch in these conditiions will ruin it for weeks.

Quite enjoyed a rare lay-in this morning and was even happier to be able to watch some sunday league in the comfort of my own home in the Chelski match, Rafa and Nino's cunning plan seems to be working well.. A lot better than having to brave the Monsell in these harsh conditions to scout that Oak vs Lks match anyways,.
