| Just wanted to know what the story is behind your teams name, whether it be a sponsor, pub, location etc.
Personally, I have no idea why we are called AC Wigston, as it was decided when AC Wigston was a youth team, and I managed there rivals Kingsway Rangers.
So whats the story... | |

| We wanted something with Wigston (or part of Wigston in) and were originally called Sporting Magna, but then Sporting Wigston popped up which was a bit too similar, so we changed to Magna Town. The league added 2008 as there has previously been a Magna Town, but we don't use the 2008 | |

| CSKA Carnabys named due to be sponsored by The Carnabys and finding a job lot of shirts from Russia. For 24 hours we were to be simply AFC Carnabys until the shirts found there way to us. | |

I seem to remember Byrney once saying he had the application forms with him in the pub one day and someone filled in the name Horse for a laugh and he stuck with it. Or is that just an urban legend? | |

| Webbys was formed by 5 or 6 old magna town players after we heard a long serving magna town member was diagnosed with motor neurone disease his name was andy webb, hence the name webbys. Sadly andy passed away last year but his name hopefully will continue in his memory. | |
