Results and Banter - Friday 7 September

The final midweek date for some time - despite the postponed games which have their own thread, there are 8 fixtures to report on

We have Clarendon Park Rangers tonight. Should be an interesting game as we both lost our opener. Think we will have the edge tonight though but who know's in football. Whoever plays the best tonight will come out on top.

Watched foxes vs azzuri.
Good game chance after chance.

Azzuri better team 1st half .
Foxes a lot better 2nd half .
Foxes went 3-1 up.
Azzuri equalised 3-3 and then foxes should of had a corner ref didnt give anything azzuri went straight up other end and scored 4-3. Then foxes gt there 4th and well deserved .

Caught an hour of this and Aylestone were absolutely dominant. Looked a real team getting it down and playing it out from the back, midfield lOoked busy and first to every loose ball and the forward line well able to put the ball in the net.
I think it's possible Horse may have been missing a couple but Aylestone looked like a side that will b right up there come the end I the season.

Tough game last night with neither able to grab hold of the game and take control.

Ryan Smith took his headed goal well for us from a nice cross over from Wes Johnson which gave us the lead in the game and thats how it stayed at half time.
We played better in the second half and created plenty of chances to kill the game off but we couldn't take our chances when they came our way and Clarendon grabbed a goal with only there 3rd or 4th shot of the match. Nicely taken goal aswel which gave our keeper no chance as the ball found its way into the top corner.
More chances came our way after that but we didn't take our second goal until we was in the last 10 minutes. Neat play from us led to a scramble in the area and Ryan Smith was quickest on hand to hit a shot into the bottom corner and grab his second of the game.

The ref had a decent game throughout and both teams played the game in the right spirit.
Glad to have got our first 3 points and now onto the next.

how's bert doing this season so far?

Berts been alright mate, only played the last 15-20 mins last weekend and missed last nights game cuz hes on holiday. Hes missing sundays game too.

Think he will be happier when hes more involved and starts to find the back of the net!
