Under the old plans, all pitches were allocated to youth football, including girls.
The only pitches to be allocated to open age were going to be on the top level which had been declared too dangerous years ago because of subsidence, overhead power lines and objects surfacing on this land fill site!! The new changing block would have been near to the entrance and a good slog from the top level. In any event, they would only be big enough for the adjacent youth pitches. This was decided by County FA whose main objective was to develop youth and minority football often at the expense of adult football.
The new arrangements may well be very similar. Morley, Gordon and myself have made ourselves very unpopular at Holmes Park by trying to fight our corner - and with little support from other leagues using City parks - it was all to no avail.
