I regret to advise of the resignation of St Patricks Sunday, with immediate effect.

Their playing record will be expunged from D2 and the table reset in due course.

The reason cited is shortage and commitment of players.

Sorry to see them go and feel for a good bloke like Jim Hubbard but you can't go on with just half a dozen comitted players.

I guess Azul will see an increase in squad numbers as a result

Only by 3 stroller. Jamie, azza and chris have all said they want to come to us, to enjoy their football and be with mates. We tried to get them in the summer but they wanted to stay at pats in div 2. Jim and Wingy had big plans for pats and its a shame they cudnt get the players to see it through

great shame, and agree with everything said about Jim. I personally feel St Pats should have gone down a couple of divisions in the summer, but its really amazing that with the ground, (bar!) and set up they have down there they can't get 14 lads to play on a Sunday. Shows what we're all up against
