The following is an Alliance league Rule which can be seen on the Alliance Website. Rule 10 (G) A Club may at its discretion and in accordance with the Laws of the Game use 3 substitute players in any match in this Competition who may be selected from 5 players. The referee shall be informed of the names of the substitutes not later than five minutes before the start of the match. A player who has been selected, appointed or named as a substitute before the start of the match but does not actually play in the gam e shall not be considered to have been a player in that game within the meaning of Rule 8 of this Competition. (By the way, I suspect Gordon will not be too keen on your heading)

- sorry Dennis it was from 7 last year, why the change?
fine this weeks ref then.. Hellboy, this is unlike you. Just looked in last year's book and it was 5 then It was generally thought to be unnecessary and did cause some minor embarrassment at cup finals when so many non-playing subs did not get a medal. | |
